! UATTRIBD.TBL. ! ! This file is a sample template for the attribute file set by the GPMAP ! parameter VGFILE. The attribute file is used to tailor the display ! characteristics when producing products in the various formats, e.g., FAX, ! GIF, etc. The attribute file can alter object attributes, e.g., color, ! line width, etc. It can also change the object sub-type for a given ! class and object type. For example, all underlined text can be changed to ! text with no underlines. ! ! This template contains the VGF object class (VGCLASS) with the attributes set ! to the default values. To change specific objects, enter the object below ! the appropriate VGCLASS with the desired attribute values. Refer to the ! $GEMTBL/pgen/setting.tbl for a complete list of object types (VGTYPE). This ! table generally follows the format of the setting.tbl. It includes all of ! the columns up to the GRP column in the setting.tbl. Its last column, ! NEWSUBT, is not included in the setting.tbl file. ! ! Two examples of how to use this table are given below. ! ! Example 1: Alter the size and color of the ball and chain line type in the ! output device. ! ! CLASS_LINES SPLN_ELM 1 3 3 2 1 1 0.8 2 ! ! The VG Type in this example for VG Class lines is SPLN_ELM and the specific ! sub-type for ball and chain is 1. The two 3's are the major and minor ! GEMPAK color, green. The 2 is the smoothing level. The 0.8 is the size ! and the final 2 is the width. With this entry, all ball and chain lines in ! the input VGF have these attributes in the output device. ! ! NOTE: If the color is set to -1 for an object, that object is eliminated ! from the output device. ! !
