I don't know if this will get through or not. We are experiencing network
problems. Downstream nodes may want to failover to their alternates.
Estimated get-well time is unknown because nobody can figure out what is wrong. I am currently not able to ldmping thelma.ucar.edu (NAMED state reports "lookup timed out"). A standard unix ping from aeolus to thelma gets nowhere. A ping to thelma from another host reports a 70% packet loss.
Not sure what's going on, but something like this usually only occurs on a Friday afternoon.
