Re: [ldm-users] HRRR data for AK, HI?

Gerry,

I will add that when I first started using the S3 sources for model data a
couple of years ago it was slower and more restrictive than it is now.
Today, I can do .idx variable slicing, request byte ranges for single vars,
plus it's CORS enabled and pleasantly quick when you slice things down.

If Amazon isn't to your taste, NOAA pushes most all of this data to the
big-3; here are links for Google and MS repos:
https://console.cloud.google.com/marketplace/details/noaa-public/hrrr?supportedpurview=project
https://planetarycomputer.microsoft.com/dataset/storage/noaa-hrrr

I love what they have done with this page:
https://www.noaa.gov/nodd/datasets

There is also Nomads but it is not CORS friendly, so if you are doing a web
platform stick with the cloud providers.

Best,
-Mike
