Hello,
I operate a small independent weather-market research project and am looking
for an upstream LDM/IDD provider willing to supply a narrowly filtered,
low-volume real-time METAR feed.
Stations of interest: KAUS, KLAX, KNYC, KDCA, and KORD.
I am primarily interested in the IDS/DDPLUS or equivalent NOAAPort text feed
containing routine and special METAR observations. The receiver would run on a
dedicated Linux server in DigitalOcean at public IP 142.93.241.231. We can
configure a stable hostname, reverse DNS, and LDM port access as required.
The purpose is to measure end-to-end dissemination latency relative to NOAA’s
public station files. We would be happy to follow any data-use, bandwidth, or
operational requirements.
Is anyone able to provide an upstream feed, or recommend a provider that
accepts non-academic users?
Thank you,
Chris
