[ldm-users] LDM/IDD upstream for an AI weather research project

Hello,

I am working on an independent research project focused on AI-based
short-term weather forecasting and nowcasting.

I am looking for an existing LDM/IDD participant who might be able to
provide a downstream feed of US surface weather observations, particularly
METAR/SPECI data through IDS|DDPLUS.

I would like to use the original operational observations for research and
experimentation with AI forecasting models.

A full IDS|DDPLUS feed would be perfectly fine; I can filter the stations I
need locally. The bandwidth requirements should be relatively small.

I would run a dedicated Linux LDM downstream node with a static public IP
and would not redistribute the data.

I understand that direct IDD access from Unidata is generally intended for
participating institutions, so I am looking for an existing LDM operator
who could provide an upstream feed or recommend someone who might be able
to help.

If anyone has experience providing an upstream connection to independent
research projects, I would really appreciate any advice or recommendation.

Thanks,

Pablo Luna
