I am an independent researcher measuring the delivery latency of
already-issued U.S. METAR and SPECI bulletins.
Would any IDD site be willing to provide a narrowly filtered
IDS|DDPLUS LDM feed containing U.S. METAR/SPECI bulletins, initially
matching ^S[AP]US, to a public Linux VPS?
I specifically need to verify SAUS99 KWBC and SPUS99 KWBC, while also
determining whether another SAUSxx or SPUSxx bulletin delivers the
same station report earlier.
The feed would be used only for internal, receive-only research. I
will not redistribute the data.
Once an upstream is available, I can provide:
- a stable server FQDN;
- matching forward and reverse DNS;
- a fixed source IP;
- TCP port 388;
- administrator contact information.
I would first run a short receive-only canary and record product
identifiers, raw TAC hashes, and local LDM insertion timestamps.
Could someone confirm which U.S. METAR/SPECI WMO bulletins are
available in their IDS|DDPLUS feed and whether they could add an ALLOW
entry for a non-.edu host?
