[needdata] Rainfall High Resolution Data

I am looking for a daily rainfall dataset that covers all Brazil or South 
America or a global one with spatial resolution greater than 1 x 1 degree. 
The period is from jan/1997 to dec/1999. Would someone have these kind of 
data available?
