Flash Flooding Across the Northern High Plains and Upper Mississippi River
Valley
to the Central Plains
Flooding of small streams, streets and urban areas was reported from Montana,
the
Dakotas and Minnesota to the Nation's heartland of Kansas and Missouri.
Several
downpours of 3-5 inches of rain were reported
Outlook for Today
Intense thunderstortms may produce flash flooding from Michigan and Wisconsin
to the
central plains of Nebraska and Kansas
Reports of flooding were received over last day for locations
including:
Alabama: Sumter County
Illinois: Alexander County
Kansas: Barber, Clay, Geary, Douglas, Jefferson, Johnson, Miami, Osage,
Pottawatomie, Riley, Shawnee, and Wabaunsee Counties
Michigan: Kalamazoo County
Minnesota: Yellow Medicine County
Missouri: Atchison, Benton, Boone, Callaway, Camden, Cass, Cole, Jackson,
Johnson,
Laclede, Leavenworth, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, Nodaway, Osage, Pettis,
Phelps, Pulaski, Scott, and Wyandotte Counties
Montana: Lewis and Clark County
North Dakota: Burleigh, Kidder, and Morton Counties
South Carolina: Beaufort, Berkeley, Buncombe, Cabarrus, Charleston, and Jasper
Counties
South Dakota: Deuel and tripp Counties
Texas: Dimmit, Frio, La Salle, and McMullen Counties
