On 19 July, (JD200) there will be a planned outage of data on NOAA-14
beginning around 1330 UTC, when there will be a spacecraft maneuver that
will allow scientist to collect data that will characterize the
side-lobes and any asymmetry of the Microwave Sounder Unit (MSU). We
will notify users when the outage is over but users should plan on the
outage lasting several hours. Users can also check with the NOAA
website www.oso.noaa.gov/poesstatus for updates. Level 1B data processed
during the passes affected by the maneuver will be saved and archived
but will not be distributed to the user community as in normal processing.
