NCEP Model Evaluation Subscribers,


   The Environmental Modeling Center (EMC) has proposed an upgrade to

the Short Range Ensemble Forecast System (SREF). The proposed upgradeincludes:


•        Introduce bias correction scheme to all output grids except QPF
•        Add aviation based ensemble products
•        Expand Domain to cover Alaska
•        Add five aviation-related SREF products
•        Add five wind variances for DTRA

Near Real-Time Parallel Data

Beginning October 2 2007, parallel data will be at:

ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/sref/para/sref.yyyymmddhh

and graphical data can be found at:

http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwpara/analysis
