The NOAA National Weather Service MicroART upper air system at Peachtree
City, Georgia, (WMO# 72215) will be decommissioned on or about April 11,
2008, and installation of the new Radiosonde Replacement System (RRS)
will begin. No upper air observations will be provided from this office
while RRS is being installed.
Beginning April 21, 2008, or shortly thereafter, upper air observations
will be issued using the RRS and GPS Mark IIA Sippican radiosondes.
