EUMETCast
We are pleased to announce the inclusion of new LSA SAF vegetation
products on EUMETCast as of 15/07/08.
EUMETCast requirements:
Files for Europe will appear on the channel "SAF-Europe"
Files for Americas will appear on the channel "SAF-Americas"
Files for Africa will appear on the channel "SAF-Africa"
The filenames are pre-fixed with "S-LSA_-HDF5_LSASAF_MSG_" and continue
with "FAPAR", "FVC" and "LAI" with full details provided in the Product
Manuals, see: http://landsaf.meteo.pt/
EUMETSAT is pleased to announce on 15/07/08, the inclusion of two new
products on EUMETCast.
MODIS Fire Product (MOD14): This is the most basic fire product in which
active fires and other thermal anomalies, such as volcanoes,are identified.

The product is available on EUMETCast-Europe and EUMETCast-Africa only.

Jason-1 Interim Geophysical Data Record (IGDR):
To help prepare for altimeter operations based on the Jason-2/Ocean
Surface Topography Mission (OSTM), EUMETSAT will make this data
available via EUMETCast.

The product is available on all EUMETCast beams. Access on EUMETCast
will be automatically provided for those users already registered to
receive the Jason-1 OSDR product. Other users wishing to receive this

Ground Segment
The EUMETSAT Archive will be carrying out essential maintenance on
15/07/08 from 08:00 to 14:00 UTC.
In this period the Archive will not be available for data retrieval.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank our users for their
understanding.
Due to essential maintenance, on 17 July 2008 between 08.00 - 10.00
there will be a one-hour outage followed by a one-hour period of high
risk of disruptions to the Meteosat-9 Meteorological Products.
