Hi,

The GEFS evaluation ends next Friday (Feb. 5). In case any of youhave not read through the Word document which I attached to the initialevaluation request email, I would like to inform you of the followingchange. The document includes a request that evaluators specificallyindicate whether or not the proposed benefits of the upgrade have beenmet. For the GEFS, the benefits listed are:


Is the overall probabilistic forecast skill of the GEFS improved?

and

Is the overall ensemble mean forecast skill improved?

Please include a slide which addresses these items in your evaluationpackage. Please also note that this benefits section is now standardfor all 30-day evaluations.
