SUBJECT: Transition of HPC Todays Weather Chart in
Spanish from Experimental to Operational Effective
March 1, 2011
Effective Tuesday, March 1, 2011, the National Centers for
Environmental Predictions (NCEP) Hydrometeorological Prediction
Center (HPC) will begin issuing operationally a Spanish language
version of its Todays Weather Chart. This chart summarizes the
weather across the United States and highlights significant
events such as severe weather, heavy rain or winter weather.
The chart also shows frontal locations and areas of
precipitation. The chart is available online at:
