----OPERATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS----
1.On or about Tuesday, August 30, 2011, the National Centers for
Environmental Prediction (NCEP) will remove the Model Analysis and
Forecast (MAF) web pages currently available at:
http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod/analysis/
The NWS recently issued a Public Information Statement announcing NCEP’s
new experimental MAG website: http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov
The previous proposed removal date of March 31, 2011 was postponed until
August 30, 2011, to give customers more time to acclimate to the Model
Analysis and Guidance (MAG) webpage.
The MAG was declared operational on March 15, 2011 as scheduled.
2.The CCS Implementation Standards are available at
http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/docs/.Please adhere to these standards
when submitting changes for the CCS.
3. Upcoming major changes to NCEP's production suite and details on any
product or timing changes associated with upcoming implementations can
be viewed at the following website:
http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/changes/
Test data for major changes should be available six weeks prior to
implementation. Anyone wishing to receive formal notice of the final
pre-implementation testing and the opportunity to provide feedback on
the proposed changes can subscribe to the Model Evaluation mailing list
