Details/Specifics of Change: A GOES-15 West Drift Maneuver will be
performed on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at 0306 UTC. There is no
backup for this maneuver.
Please note: GOES-15 is scheduled to replace GOES-11 as the
GOES-West operational spacecraft in December. Following the West
Drift Maneuver, GOES-15 will begin a westward drift from 89.5
degrees West to 135 degrees West at a rate ~ 0.78 degrees/day.
On October 18, 2011, the following exclusive schedule will be
employed to support maneuver operations:
GOES-15 West Drift Maneuver commanding begins at 0300 UTC on
October 18, 2011.
From 0300 UTC through 0323 UTC -- No GOES-15 scan operations.
There will be no recovery schedule for this maneuver.
0324 UTC -- GOES-15 Routine Schedule Operations Resume.
Current GOES-15 Data: ESPC Authorized Users of GOES data should
currently have access to GOES-15 data via the SATESPDIST servers
under the GCR server. GOES-15 GVAR non-operational data are
currently being stored at NOAA's Comprehensive Large Array-Data
Stewardship System (CLASS).
