Subject: Soliciting Comments on Experimental Storm Prediction
Center (SPC) Probabilistic Day 3-8 Fire Weather
Outlooks through January 30, 2013
The NWS is continuing to collect comments through January 30,
2013 regarding six Fire Weather Outlook graphics for the
Conterminous United States (CONUS). These graphics are posted on
the SPC Web site on an experimental basis.
These graphics were previously available for comment:
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/os/notification/pns11prob_spc_fire.txt
Feedback from the previous experimental period indicated that the
combined 3-8 day forecast graphic was difficult to interpret. As
an improvement, the SPC is now providing six individual daily web
graphics (Day 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) of the two Probabilistic Fire
Weather Outlooks:
1) Probability of Dry Thunderstorms Fire Weather Outlook
2) Probability of Strong Winds, Low RH, and Warm Temperatures
Fire Weather Outlook
These graphics are available on the SPCs Day 3-8 Fire Weather
Forecast web page:

Feedback and comments concerning these experimental graphics are
welcome through January 30, 2013, via a link on the web page or
online at:
