SUBJECT: Implementation of Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF)
Service for Double Eagle II Airport (KAEG) in
Albuquerque, New Mexico effective August 29, 2013
NOTE: The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather
Wire Service subscribers.
Effective Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 1200 Coordinated
Universal Time (UTC), the NWS Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico,
will begin TAF service for Double Eagle II Airport (KAEG).
NWS personnel/offices will need to add the following identifier
to their communications systems to receive the new TAF:
Airport WMO Heading AWIPS ID
Double Eagle II FTUS45 KABQ TAFAEG
In addition, the new TAF will be added to the existing TAF
collectives below, which are transmitted to FAA personnel and
other external customers.
WMO Headings Available to the following customers
FTUS80 KWBC Non-FAA Domestic and Family of Services
FTUS90 KWBC FAA Weather Message Switching Center and FAA
Facilities
FTUS52 KWBC Global Telecommunication System Customers
Holders of NWS Procedural Instruction 10-813 (Terminal Aerodrome
Forecasts) should make appropriate additions to the appendices.
