SUBJECT: 2013 Dates for four NWS Upper air Stations to Begin Use
of the GPS Lockheed Martin LMS-6 Radiosonde with the
Radiosonde Replacement Systems (RRS)
Four NWS upper air sites are scheduled to transition from the GPS
Lockheed Martin Mark IIA radiosonde to the GPS Lockheed Martin
LMs-6 radiosonde on or shortly after the dates listed below.

No missed observations are expected to occur during the equipment
transition. The WMO Radiosonde Identification Code for the LMS-6
Radiosonde is 82.
