SUBJECT: Fourteen Additional NWS Upper Air Stations to Use GPS
Lockheed Martin LMS-6 Radiosonde with the Radiosonde
Replacement Systems (RRS) starting about
October 31, 2013
On or about October 31, 2013, the 14 NWS upper air sites listed
below are scheduled to transition from the GPS Lockheed Martin
Mark IIA radiosonde to the GPS Lockheed Martin LMS-6 radiosonde.

No missed observations are expected to occur during the equipment
transition. The WMO Radiosonde Identification Code for the LMS-6
