[thredds] clients for restricted OPeNDAP-URL

Dear THREDDS team,

The restricted access to a OPeNDAP-URL works fine in web browsers, but 
not in clients like ferret. That's probably because they do not support 
this authentification method, like you mentioned in:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/projects/THREDDS/tech/reference/RestrictedAccess.html 


Are there any clients that can handle this kind of authentification? Can 
Ferret or LAS handle it somehow?
