[thredds] TDS performance testing?

Hi all,
Can anybody recommend software for performance testing THREDDS data
servers?  Ideally it would be great to run something that would accept a
TDS endpoint as input and then come back with access speeds from various
point/range/time-series tests. Looking to quantify performance for tuning
purposes and comparison.
